HOW TO CREATE A TABLE

  1. Open Microsoft word environment
  2. Type the headings of the table
  3. Place your cursor where you want the table to be
  4. Click on insert
  5. Click on table
  6. Click on insert table
  7. Then the insert table dialogue box will appear
  8. Type in the numbers of columns and rows you counted
  9. And click on ok

HOW TO ADD MORE ROWS

  1. Click at the last row of the table
  2. Then go to the keyboard
  3. Press your tab key

 

HOW TO ADD MORE COLUMNS

  1. Highlight the area you want to add extra column to
  2. Click on layout
  3. Click on insert left or right depending on the one you highlighted

 

HOW TO DELETE THE EXTRA COLUMNS OR ROWS

  1. Highlight the area of the (column/row) you want to delete
  2. Click on layout
  3. Click on delete
  4. Click on delete columns or rows depending on the area you highlighted

 

HOW TO MERGE CELL IN A TABLE

Merge cells means combining one or two cells together to become one.

  1. Highlight the table
  2. Click on layout
  3. Click on merge cell

HOW TO DELETE THE ENTIRE TABLE

  1. Highlight the entire table
  2. Click on layout
  3. Click on delete table
  4. or press backspace

 

HOW TO BEAUTIFY A TABLE (First table)

  1. Highlight the entire table
  2. Click on design
  3. Click on line style
  4. Click on the eleventh line
  5. Go to line weight
  6. Click on 3pt
  7. Go to boarders and open
  8. Click on all boarders
  9. Then place your mouse pointer at the edge of the first margin
  10. Click and drag to left,
  11. Click on second margin
  12. Click and drag to right
  13. Click outside
  14. Then start typing

 

HOW TO BEAUTIFY THE SECOND TABLE

  1. You highlight the table
  2. Click on design
  3. Click on line style
  4. Click on the eleventh line
  5. Go to line weight
  6. Click on 3pt
  7. Go to boarders
  8. Click on Outside boarder
  9. Then go back to line style
  10. Click on the 12th line
  11. Go to line weight
  12. Click on 3pt, click on boarder
  13. Click on inside vertical boarder
  14. Go back to line style
  15. Click on the 20th line
  16. Go to line weight
  17. Click on 3pt, Click on boarder
  18. Click on inside horizontal boarder
  19. Click on the left margin
  20. Then move to the left

HOW TO CALCULATE IN TABLE

  1. Place your cursor where you want your answer to
  2. Click on layout
  3. Click on formula
  4. Then the dialogue box will appear

N/B: If you calculate from left the formula is = sum (left)

Click on ok

But if you are calculating form top the formula is = sum (above)

Click on ok.

 

HOW TO CREATE A LANDSCAPE TABLE

  1. Open your Microsoft word environment
  2. Then set your page to landscape
  3. Click on page layout
  4. Click on margins, click on custom margin
  5. click on landscape
  6. Then reduce the zoom size to 75% or 66%
  7. Then you type the heading, create the table
  8. After creating the table
  9. Highlight the first row of the table
  10. click on layout
  11. click on merge cells
  12. Highlight the second row
  13. Click on layout
  14. Click on merge cells
  15. Highlight the first column
  16. Click on layout
  17. Click on merge cells

  9. Go to line weight and click on 4½ pt
  10. Go to boarder and click on inside vertical boarder
  11. Then go back to line style
  12. Click on the seventh line

HOW TO TYPE MANUAL C.V.

  1. Open Microsoft word environment
  2. Then adjust the margin [left & right]
  3. Type in the address
  4. Highlight it and center
  5. Increase the resume size to 20
  6. Increase your name font size to 20
  7. Then you type the c.v.
  8. Use your tab key on your key board to shift for all
  9. After typing the c.v. highlight it and apply 1.5 line spacing
  10. Then pick the line and rule
  11. after ruling, increase line weight to 2½ or 1½

 

HOW TO BEAUTIFY A MANUAL C.V.

  1. Click on insert
  2. Click on shape
  3. Click on rounded rectangle
  4. move to the text
  5. Click and draw
  6. Click on rounded rectangle
  7. Go to shape fill

    10. After that, click on ok
    11. then scroll down and type the footer
    12. Double click on the environment of the page

 

HOW TO APPLY COLUMN

  1. Click on page layout
  2. Click on column
  3. click on more columns
  4. Choose the column of your choice e.g. Three columns
  5. Click on ok
  6. Then you start typing the text
  7. After typing the first column
  8. Press enter key to go next column
  9. After all the columns
  10. Highlight all click on justify

 

HOW TO APPLY DROP CAP

  1. Highlight the letter you want to apply drop cap
  2. Click on insert
  3. Click on drop cap
  4. click on drop options
  5. Click on dropped
  6. Click on ok

 

HOW TO INSERT PICTURE

  1. Click on insert
  2. Click on clip art
  3. The clip are dialog box will open at the right hand of the page
  4. Go to search for and type the name of what you want e.g. people

  6. Search for what you want and click

  11. Then click and drag it for where it suppose to be
  12. Then click on another picture
  13. Click on it

HOW TO CREATE A CERTIFICATE ON MICROSOFT WORD

  1. Open the ms/word environment
  2. Then set your page to landscape if

the certificate is on landscape

by clicking on page layout choose landscape

  1. Then reduce the zoom size of the

page to 75% or 66%

HOW TO CREATE A BORDER

  1. Click page layout
  2. Click on page border
  3. Go to “art” Click on NONE and choose the borders of your choice
  4. Note any border that have colour can not be changed
  5. Click on width increase to 30pt
  6. Choose the border colour by clicking on automatic
  7. Click on Ok

 

HOW TO TYPE IN THE SUB HEADING OF THE CERTIFICATE

  1. Click on insert
  2. Click on insert word art
  3. Click on the first word art
  4. Then you type
  5. After typing
  6. Click on size 20
  7. Click on fort size and choose any font of your choices
  8. Example old English text MT
  9. Then click on ok
  10. After that it will appear on your page

HOW TO ARRANGE THE WORD ART TEXT

  1. Click on the word art text
  2. Click on format
  3. click on text wrapping
  4. Click on in front of text
  5. Then use your arrow key on the key board to move it up or the center
  6. Click and drag to expand right or left
  7. After that
  8. After that apply two colors

HOW TO TYPE IN THE OTHER ONE

  1. Double click under the word art text
  2. Then you type
  3. After typing then highlight them and click on center
  4. After that highlight them one after the other
  5. Choose your desired font size e.g. 30 or 35, any of your choice
  6. or hold your ctrl & double bracket to expand them, one after the other
  7. After that highlight them one after the other and apply color to them
  8. Click on font color
  9. Choose any color of your choice
  10. After that highlight them
  11. Click on line spacing
  12. Choose either 1.5 line spacing or click on more
  13. Click on at then type in your desired line space e.g. 1 2 or 1 3
  14. Then click on ok

HOW TO TYPE IN THE PACKAGES

  1. click on insert

  3. click on draw text box
  4. Move to where you want to type it
  5. Click and draw a rectangular box that will contain them
  6. After that go to the click on format
  7. Click on shape fill
  8. Click on no fill
  9. Go to shape outline

  11. Then you type

  14. Choose your desired bullet

  10. Then the insert symbol dialogue box will appear
  11. Search for the computer symbol and click
  12. Click on insert and click on close
  13. After that
  14. Highlight the symbol and hold your control key on your key board
  15. Press your double bracket key to increase the font size4 of the computer logo
  16. After that
  17. Go to drawing bar4
  18. Click on font color & choose

 

HOW TO SEND THE COMPUTER LOGO TO BACK

  1. Highlight the computer logo
  2. Click on format
  3. Click on “send to back”
  4. Click on send behind text

 

HOW TO APPLY THE STAMP AND THE GOVERNMENT APPROVED

  1. Click on insert
  2. Click on shapes
  3. Click on 32 point star
  4. Move to where you want to apply it
  5. Click and draw
  6. apply fill color to it
  7. Then use text to type the GOVT. APPROVED inside
  8. click on bold, center and color

HOW TO APPLY THE LINE ON THE TOP DIRECTOR & MANAGER

  1. Click on insert
  2. click on shapes
  3. Click on line
  4. Move to where you want to apply it
  5. Click and draw
  6. click on format
  7. click on shape outline
  8. click on weight & choose 3pt
  9. click on dashes & choose round dot
  10. Click on rounded dot
  11. Then press control D on the key board

 

HOW TO APPLY THE BACKGROUND TO THE CERTIFICATE

  1. Click on insert
  2. click on shapes
  3. Click on rectangular box
  4. Move to the top of the page
  5. Click and draw a rectangular box that will cover the whole page
  6. click on format
  7. Click on shape fill
  8. Click on texture & choose

 

HOW TO SEND THE BACKGROUND TO BACK

  1. Click on the background
  2. Click on format
  3. Click on send to back
  4. Click on send behind text
  5. Click on send to back again
  6. After that click on print preview to see it very well

HOW TO CREATE FRAME

IN MICROSOFT WORD

Open Microsoft word

  • Click on page layout
  • Click on page border
  • Go to art, click on none
  • Choose any border of your choice
  • Increase the width to 30pt
  • Click on ok

THEN FOR THE HEADING,

  • Click on insert
  • Click on insert wordart
  • Choose any one
  • Type HAPPY WEDDING
  • Choose any character of your choice
  • Click on bold and ok.
  • After that,
  • Click on the wordart text
  • Click on format
  • Click on text wrapping
  • Click on infront of text.

HOW TO TYPE THE OTHER TEXT

  • Double click under the wordart text
  • Click on font size choose 48
  • Click on font character
  • Choose monotype corsiva
  • Click on center
  • Then start typing.
  • After typing, highlight the text, click on font color & choose any one.

HOW TO APPLY BACKGROUND

v Click on insert

v Click on shapes

v Click on rectangle

v Then click and draw the rectangle to cover the text

v Click on format

v Click on shape fill

v Click on texture and choose your choice.

v Then right click on the background

v Click on order

v Click on send behind text

v Click where the text are and press (CTRL A)

v Click on font colour

v Choose green or any colour.

ü Choose two colours of your choice
